Sports Massage
Muscular Pain -
Muscular pain can be caused by poor posture (sitting hunched, sleeping awkwardly) and/or tension.
This is most common in the upper back, neck and shoulder regions - although, depending on the cause, can
also affect other areas of the body. Many sports people suffer with tight, knotted, stiff calves
and quad muscles.
Sports massage can help by breaking through the knots and tension causing a state of relaxation in the
muscle; therefore allowing the person's posture to return to normal. It also encourages bloodflow (with
the nutrients) and removes lactic acid build-up.
We advise having a regular massage while following a sufficient warm-up, cool-down and stretching routine.
