What is Massage?

Massage is a manipulation of skin and muscle (soft tissue) using the hands. Massage relaxes a specific area or whole person. Touch can be soothing and relaxing or stimulating & energizing depending on the techniques used and pressure applied.

How does it work?

The techniques relax tired and stiff muscles. Mental stress and tension are also eased during a massage treatment. The body is flooded with oxygenated blood and toxins are flushed out. The skin receives oxygen and nutrients as well as being exfoliated during a massage.

How can it help me?

Massage can help with 'many' conditions. But, in short, it assists your body to work more efficiently in order to keep you healthy and feel good.

History

Massage has been used to promote relaxation and health for thousands of years. Its origins span the globe.
